Miracle Friday Finish!

Ok, that may be a bit much, but earlier today I was lamenting that I didn't have a Friday finish. Someone must have been listening, because the sewing fairies smiled upon me and I was able to cobble together almost two hours of sewing to finish this quilt top! This is my "squirrel" project I mentioned earlier this week.

And as if that wasn't enough, my husband came home early and was able to hold it up for a proper outdoor lit photo! I must be living right :) Now, how to quilt it?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  1. What a beautiful finish! Both the baby and the quilt top :-)

You could do some really neat texture quilting with lots of straight lines over the surface of the quilt.

  2. I love the use of green. Great finish. What about diagonal straight lines for quilting - keeping it simple?

  3. What a fun quilt top! Nice work! For quilting, I always debate about straight lines - to match the lines of the quilt, or curly free-motion - to contrast and balance out the straight lines. Great thing is, either one works great!

  6. I say you pebble quilt it in the larger green squares and then do straight line concentric lines in geometric shapes across the prints. I'll do a screen capture and draw out what's in my head later...
